Boys' soccer: Pirates blank Ottoville 3-0 in the rain
Ottoville came to Bluffton for their second game of a sectional boys' soccer match. Bluffton, playing its first game after taking a bye, knocked off the Big Green, 3-0.
Playing in a steady rain, the teams traded splashes till the 7th minute when Luke Young took the pass from Josh Begg and buried it in the net.
Then four minutes later Isaac Andreas took one of a series of rebounding balls in the Ottoville box and put it in the goal. The final score of the game came at the 18 minute mark when Josh Begg took a strong shot which eluded Nolan German, the Ottoville keeper.
On the evening Bluffton took 14 shots on goal to 1 for Ottoville.
German had 9 saves; Levi Smith, the Pirates keeper, Levi Smith had one save.
Bluffton plays Ft. Jennings on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Kalida in the District semi-final.
