Next stop on your Bluffton Halloween tour is the public library
You want to put stop at the Bluffton Public Library on your Thursday Halloween schedule. That's because Bluffton library teen volunteers host their annual haunted library fun house.
The evening includes crafts and snacks, refreshments, games and coloring opportunities plus a “Scare Zone.”
And, the Bluffton Icon photographer, Fred-in-Stein, will take photos of Halloweeners for use on the Icon.
Here are details:
Events take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Crafts and snacks, in the youth services room, offer opportunities for youngsters to create marshmallow ghost pops, decorate pumpkin cookies and make sucker ghosts.
Refreshments are available at the youth services desk. The menu includes hot chocolate, chocolate covered pretzels and green juice.
Games and coloring takes place on the main floor. Small prizes will be awarded for several games including:
• Stick the Bowtie on Mr. Bones
• Halloween coloring and activity sheets on the children’s tables
• Candy Corn Toss (into mini cauldrons)
• Cat and bat Tic Tac Toe
• Ghost Bowling
Games and Scare Zone, held in the Richland Room, on the lower lever include:
• Spider Web Walking (balance game)
• Cat and bat Tic Tac Toe
• ‘Scare Zone’ – participants walk through, please check beforehand if they want: not scary, little scary or super scary.
Donations of $1 per person are encouraged to assist in youth service programs. Each donor gets a spooky tattoo or stamp.
