Kay Miller was a former Bluffton school board member, Weekday Christian Ed teacher
Kay Miller, 62, of Bluffton, died on Oct. 22, 2016.
She was born on Oct. 23, 1953, in Hilliard, Ohio, to A.C. and Theresa Montgomery, who survive. She married Dave Miller on July 12, 1975, and he survives.
Kay was a graduate of Bethany College. She was very involved in the Bluffton Schools, serving many years as the president of the PTO and later serving many years on the school board.
Kay was a member of Bluffton Baptist Church, where she was especially active in children and youth ministries. She was a teacher for many years in the Bluffton Weekday Christian Education program.
Survivors also include; three daughters, Teri (Joel) Steinmetz, Cathy Harris, and Mary (David) Glick; and four siblings, Karen (Doug) Williamson, Steve (Becky) Montgomery, Kim (Mike) Sankey, and Craig (John) Montgomery.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Jill, Jackson, Tate, Carter, Zac, Sarah, Haddy, Judah and Lucy.
Friends may call to visit at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home in Bluffton on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
A service will be held at Ebenezer Mennonite Church at 8905 Columbus Grove Bluffton Road, on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to Bluffton Weekday Christian Education, Putnam County Homecare and Hospice, Willow Ridge of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio, or Bluffton Baptist Church.
