Writers to Visit Bluffton Library in November
Join local author Judy Clemens for a NaNoWriMo Kick-Off Workshop on Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m.! Clemens will discuss her writing experiences, and take registrants through some writing prompts to prepare for NaNoWriMo, a challenge in which she herself has participated! Her most recent book, Tag You're Dead: A Thriller, was published under the author name J. C. Lane, and Kirkus Reviews praises it as a "fun ride" by a "veteran of several genres."
Nearly a week later, Carol J. Kraft author of With Thanksgiving: Meditations on Prayers of Asking and Birthed by the Spirit: Meditations on Images in Prayer, will visit the library for a Book Signing and Talk on Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. Kraft is a deacon at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and was a German Professor at Wheaton College before retiring there in Wheaton, Illinois. Kraft looks forward to connecting with local ties, as well as to share her inspirational book with the community. Books are available for ten dollars-- cash only please.
Don’t forget that Bluffton Public Library is also a Come Write In space, which means that it has a designated quiet space open to all writers participating in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Anyone utilizing the library’s space for this reason should stop at the front desk for a small goodie bag to help sustain them through a hectic month of writing!
Both of these author visits require registration. Phone the library at 419-358-5016, email [email protected], submit a "contact us" form, or stop by the front desk during open hours to register.
