$290,000 Airpark Master Plan Study will focus on Bluffton Airport
A projected $290,000 Airpark Master Plan Study for the Bluffton Airport will become a reality, according to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator.
He will update Bluffton council on Monday about the project, which includes a 90 percent grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The village still awaits official notification from the Ohio Department of Transportation, which may provide an additional 5 percent toward the grant. That application went to the Ohio Office of Aviation. Its total is $14,500.
Should the Ohio grant come through on top of the federal grant, the village’s share of the $290,000 study will be only $14,500.
Bluffton council previously authorized the execution of the grant agreement. Council will need to okay a contract with Richland Engineering for the engineering service to conduct the study.
Monday’s council agenda is an attachment at the bottom of this story.
