Meet December's BHS student of the month
Jadyn Barhorst, a senior, is the December Bluffton High School student of the month. She is the daughter of Joe Barhorst, and Rebecca Hasting. Jadyn has a cumulative 3.911 grade point average.
She is involved in several school activities including Spanish Club, Art Club, SADD, National Honor Society, was a member of student senate for three years and was class president her junior year. She participated on the power lifting team last year and is a current member of the BHS soccer team where she was a captain for two years, was named first team NWC, second team NCOSA, second team district and was a scholar athlete. She also participated on the Allen Lima Leadership Committee her junior year.
She is a volunteer junior high leader at the Ebenezer Mennonite Church, volunteers with Youth for Christ and is a member of the Ebenezer youth group. She says that she enjoys serving in the mission field.
In her spare time she works at McDonald's of Bluffton, hangs out with her friends, and attends high school sporting events.
After graduation she hopes to pursue a master's degree in counseling with a minor in orphans and vulnerable children.
