Ada resident life-flighted to Columbus from house fire

FROM ADA ICON - Dennis "Doc" Garbrecht of Ada was rushed to the hospital, then life-flighted to Columbus, with non life-threatening injuries following a fire at his home in Ada on Thursday morning.
He is being treated for burns and smoke inhalation. His wife, Helen "Peg" Garbrecht, was uninjured.
The two-story yellow house at 301 E. North St., Ada, on the southeast corner of State Route 81 and North Simon Street, was heavily damaged despite the efforts of four fire departments: Ada, Lafayette, Alger and McGuffey.
