Recognized for volunteer work
Thirteen Bluffton Lions Club members received recognition for volunteer work accomplished in 2016.
The presentations were made in December by the Lima/Allen County Bicycle/Pedestrian Task Force, a committee of the Activate Allen County organization.
It was the group's annual year-end meeting, held at The MET, downtown Lima.
During the meeting, Bluffton Lions Club were recognized for their volunteer work in 2016 to promote a healthier community through the Bluffton Lions Foundation’s Pathway projects.
The Bluffton Lions were involved in helping the Village of Bluffton create the Comprehensive Bike & Pedestrian Pathway Master Plan.
Bluffton Lions have now work to develop two major Lions Way paths & the Lions Way Trail Head Park. Each recipient was presented with a special Certificate of Appreciation.
Those members receiving the award are from left, Lions Dick Ramseyer, Ted Cunningham, Greg Denecker, Gene Long, Ron Lora and Willis Sommer.
