Joan Anderson was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School
Joan Anderson, 84, died Feb. 1, 2017, at St. Rita's Hospice Care Center. Joan was born March 24, 1932, in Allen County, Ohio, to the late Guy C. and Mary (Mason) Mayberry. On March 24, 1951, she married Donald Anderson who survives.
Joan was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church in Bluffton.
Survivors also include a son, Jeffrey (Tonya) Anderson of Elida; a daughter, Jennifer (David) Frick of Lima; six grandchildren, Julie (B.J.) Thaxton, Melissa Frick, Brian (Diana) Frick, Misty (Brian) Wainscott, Sara (Brent) Stemen, Shane (Joyce) Thomas; and 12 great grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christy Frick; a brother, Franklin Mayberry; and two sisters, Jayne Westenbarger and Nancy Aughe.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 6, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church in Bluffton. Pastors Jim King and Dick Potter officiating. Private burial will be in Cairo East Cemetery prior to the service.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Mennonite Church.
