January's Bluffton High School student of the month is Christopher Harnish, a junior.

Christopher is treasurer of the Junior class, and is a member of Show Choir, the Academic Team, Spanish Club, Math Club and Running Club.  He is also a member of the track team and the soccer team. He was named to the NWC second team for soccer this year.

He has received academic awards from his teachers in World History, Spanish I, Spanish III, Algebra II, Advanced Math, Science 9 and English 9.  

In his spare time he enjoys learning to play the guitar.

Christopher attends Bluffton University and Findlay University for post-secondary classes. When he graduates he would like to attend either Goshen College or Eastern Mennonite University and major in math.

He carries a 4.00 grade point average and is the son of Steve and Monica Harnish.
