Our Version of Adult Learning continues in April
Eating right, James Michener, a pilgrimage trail and the Dixie Highway have one thing in common.
Each is a topic of the April sessions of “Our Version of Adult Learning” (OVAL) offered by the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center.
The classes take place at the Center, 132 N. Main St., on Mondays at 9:30 a.m. in April and are free and open to the public, according to Tonya Meyer, Center director.
Monday, April 3 – Linda Houshower from The Food Store, will discuss “gut health.” This includes pro biotics and how to stay healthy by eating the right foods
Monday, April 10 – Fran Core will discuss the book “Creatures of the Kingdom,” by James Michener. The book takes readers into the minds of animals and the world of nature.
Monday, April 17 – Lynn Miller will show photos and talk about his walk on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain and Portugal. This is a pilgrimage trail, which he has taken twice.
Monday, April 24 – LaRee Little will tell about the history of the Dixie Highway using photos and stories. The highway runs through Bluffton (Main Street).
Persons may call the Center at 419-358-8971 for more information about these programs.
