Treva Sousley was a 1943 Bluffton HS graduate
Treva M. Sousley, 91, of Bluffton,died at 2:25 a.m., April 19, 2017 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Treva was born Dec. 15, 1925 in Beaverdam to the late Walter M. and Luella M. (Steiner) Hochstettler. On April 1, 1945, she married Ralph R. Sousley of Ada and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1995.
Treva was a life-long member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton. She was always active in the church and Sunday School until Ralph passed away. Treva graduated from Bluffton High School in 1943 and was a homemaker.
Survivors include three children, Karyl (Dwain) Crawford of Pandora, Chuck Sousley of Harrod, Jayne (Denny) Caskie of Bluffton; four grandchildren, Lisa Crawford of Findlay, Lori (John) Pletcher of Waynesfield, Kendra (Paul) Cottrell of Antwerp, Jaden (Keri) Caskie of Haslett, Michigan; a step grandchild, Thomas J. Hobbs of Harrod; six great-grandchildren, Karissa (Quinn) Davis, Cory Pletcher, Pearce, Zoey and Maryn Cottrell, Jaelynn Caskie; two step great-great grandchildren, Odessa and Kiora Davis; a sister, Esther (Don) Spar of Lima; and many nieces and nephews far and near.
Treva was preceded in death by an infant sister and three brothers, Robert J. Hochstettler, Francis L. Hochstettler and Harold D. Hochstettler.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 22, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Jeremy Mann officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Findlay Area Youth for Christ, Bridge Hospice of Findlay or Mennonite Memorial Home.
