Council committee will recommend $11,730 for safety features
Bluffton council’s streets and alleys committee will recommend spending $11,730 for safety features at the Main and College intersection.
The recommendation list is in the council packet attached to this story. The council meets on Monday.
Recommendations include:
1 – Install rectangular rapid flashing beacon, $5,800
2 – Crosswalk symbol and pedestal pole, $440
3 – Downward diagonal arrow and pedestal pole, $240
4 – Removal of southern crosswalk and addition of yield symbols, $1,750
5 – Addition of widened crosswalk, yield symbols, paint outlines of parking spaces from Grove to College, $3,500
6 – Addition of reduced speed zone ahead 25 MPH signs, (provided by ODOT)
