Pirate boys' tennis team makes winning a habit
Bluffton High’s boys’ tennis team continues on a record-setting pace this season. On April 22 it captured the Lima Senior High boys’ tennis tournament trophy with some impressive scoring.

Celina 3 – Bluffton 2
The Pirate’s 7-game win streak ended in a very close match with Division I WBL powerhouse Celina 3 to 2. Scoring follows:
1st singles – Haggard 7-5, 5-7, 6-2 - Win
2nd singles – Sprague, 2-6, 0-6 - Loss
3rd singles – Bunch 7-6, 7-6 - Win
1st doubles – Mikesell/Geiser, 6-1, 6-3 – Loss
2nd doubles – Steiner/Staley, 6-2, 7-5 – Loss
Bluffton 3 - Ada 2
Bluffton bounced back in a big way, defeating Ada on the Howe Courts 3 to 2. Following the match Bluffton improved to 8-1 and Ada dropped to 8-3. Scoring follows:
1st singles – Haggard, 6-1, 6-2, Loss
2nd singles – Sprague, 1-6, 6-3, 7-5, Loss
3rd singles – Bunch, 6-4, 6-1, Win
