Transition Bluffton launch party May 16
Transition Bluffton invites the public to its idea-raising launch party from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, in the Bluffton town hall, 154 N. Main St. In addition to its launch party, the event is a brainstorm session for future events and project by the group. Cake will be served. This event celebrates the creation of Transition Bluffton, an organization that is bringing people together to build sustainability in Bluffton and beyond.
In February, nearly 30 people gathered in Bluffton for an official training weekend led by a certified trainer from Transition-United States. The launch party will use methods learned for generating and discussing ideas, giving everyone the chance to contribute and respond.
Monthly Transition Bluffton gatherings will primarily be held on the third Tuesday of the month. Topics past and future include energy savings, transportation by bike, green homes, and local animal habitats. For more information and enquiries, email [email protected].
Transition Bluffton’s vision is to create a community that encourages creative thinking and nurtures sustainability in transportation, agriculture, economy, and energy.
