Sydney Staton is the May Bluffton High School student of the month.

A senior, she is a member of the Show Choir, Chamber Choir, Math Team and played softball, track and soccer where she was the team captain.

She was awarded the "Student of the Year" in Statistics and in Photography, received the top score on the Ohio Math League Test and was awarded the academic excellence scholarship.

Her hobbies include photography and Photoshop. Her pos-secondary options were at Rhodes State College where she took Calculus.

After graduation she will attend Bluffton University where she will major in Mathematics, minor in Computer Science and will be a member of their women's soccer team.

She is the daughter of Rae Staton and carries a 4.000 grade point average.
