Pirate boys' finish 3rd at track regionals
Bluffton High School boys’ track team advances six athletes to the Division III state track and field meet this week in Columbus.

BHS boys finished third in the Tiffin regional. The top five team places follow:
1 – Eastwood, 84 points
2 – Montpelier, 41 points
3 – Bluffton, 38 points
4 - Liberty Center, 29 points
5 - Patrick Henry, 28 points
The following team members advance:
4 by 800 relay team of:
Isaac Andreas, senior
Baylor Garmatter, freshman
Christopher Harnish, junior
Luke Young, sophomore
Finished 4th with a time of 8:17.04
High Jump Kaleb Jefferson,junior
Finished 4th, 6-01
110 hurdles Trevor Bassitt, senior
Finished 1st, 14:71.
300 hurdles Trevor Bassitt, hurdles
Finished 1st, 39.98
Competing at regionals but not advancing were:
• Isaac Andreas in the 1600 meter run
• 4by400 relay of Baylor Garmatter, Owen Bishoff, Christopher Harnish and Trevor Bassitt
• Christopher Harnish, 800 meters
• Trevor Bassitt, 200 meter dash
* Haley Baker, who finished an impressive track season, competed in the following regional events but did not advance to the state meet:
• 100 meter dash
• 400 meter dash
• 200 meter dash
• Pole vault
