Let’s go swimming.
Here’s what you need to know about the 2017 Bluffton Community Swimming Pool season, according to Jenny Wilson, pool manager.
Hours:
Monday to Friday – noon to 8 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday – 1 to 6 p.m.

Admission:
Daily (3 and over) - $4
2 and under – free
Family season pass - $130
Additional children on pass - $5 per child
Single season pass - $80
Senior single pass - $40
Senior couple pass - $75
10 visit punch card - $30
Can be used for single or multiple admissions at one time
Rest breaks are every hour for 15 minutes. No one under 18 is permitted to swim during rest breaks.
Group swim lessons begin soon. Here is that schedule:
Session 1 – June 19-30
Session 2 – July 3-14
Session 3 – July 17-28
Lessons take place from 11:30 to noon a.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Fridays are makeup days. Contact the pool for registration.
Swim lesson levels:
Cost is $30 for members; $35 for non-members
Parent tot: Ages up to 3.
Level 1 – 3 year olds recommended
Level 2 – Some experience with the water and willing to submerge entire head in water
Level 3 – Be able to comfortably place face and head in water. Can perform front and back float for 3 seconds.
Level 4 – Be able to float unsupported for at least 5 seconds on front and back and swim 5 meters of freestyle and backstroke without assistance
Level 5 – Can swim 15 meters of free style using rotary breathing, swim 15 meters of backstroke and tread water for 30 seconds.
Adult – Ranges from no experience to athletic practice. Private lessons are available upon request, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., weekdays, $75 cost.
Pool rentals:
The pool is available for rental after hours and weekends for 2 hours. Cost: $175.
