Willadene Keeney was an active volunteer at Et Cetera Shop
Former Bluffton resident Willadene Hartzler Keeney died on June 13, 2017, in North Newton, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Keeney, her parents Raymond and Nora Hartzler, her brothers Ellwyn and Wilton, her sister Donna, and a brother, Harold, who died in infancy.
She is survived by her children Lois (Phil) Palmer of North Newton, Kansas, Carol (Carlos Anzola) Keeney of Elkhart, Indiana, William (Virginia Smith) Keeney of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Richard (Mary McCormick) Keeney of Phoenix, Arizona. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Alejandro, Hannah, Daniel, Caitlin, Mario, and Rowan and one great-grandson, Nicolas.
Memorials may be made to First Mennonite Church, Bluffton, Mennonite Central Committee, the Raymond and Nora Hartzler Scholarship Fund at Bluffton University or the World Wildlife Fund. There are no services at this time.
