Bluffton resident opens Infinity Salon and Wellness in Arlington
Note: The Icon welcomes its newest advertiser, Infinity Salon and Wellness.
This spring Ellen Gilfillen of Bluffton took an empty Arlington storefront and converted it into a salon and wellness center.
“We bought the building and did a complete remodeling of it,” she said.
Known as Infinity Salon and Wellness, the business is located at 108 N. Main St., Arlington.
Gilfillen, a licensed massage therapist, is a 1991 Bluffton High School graduate. She is also an RN and, most recently has worked as needed, as a floor nurse at Vancrest in Ada.

“I decided to move from nursing into massage therapy,” she said, explaining her career change. She holds massage certificates in relaxation, deep therapeutic, pregnancy (her favorite), infant, chair and reflexology.
Her staff includes:
• Morgan Conner, (her daughter) a 2015 Bluffton HS and Apollo Career Center grad, and license cosmetologist, and
• Mackenzie Ricker, a 2015 Bath HS and Apollo grad, also a licensed cosmetologist.
Infinity offers a wide range of services. These include haircuts for men, women and children, manicures, pedicures, nails, waxing and massages.
Morgan explained that the salon also offers gel nails, a relatively new product.
“Since we opened we’ve started picking up customers from all around Arlington,” Gilfillen said. “Our customers come from Mt. Blanchard, Alger, Forest, Jenera, Findlay, Dunkirk, Bluffton and Ada.”
Name brands carried by Infinity include Paul Mitchell, Joico, Kenra and DevaCurl.
“As we grow we hope to have one day a week set aside for men’s haircuts,” said Gilfillen.
Hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and by appointment.
The phone number is 419-365-0270.
