All about mentoring girls
The women’s soccer team at Bluffton University is hosting a mentorship program for girls in the first through eighth grades who are interested in connecting with Bluffton’s women soccer players.
Each KITS Club participant will be paired with a player from the team, and throughout the fall semester, participants will have the opportunity to take part in planned activities such as game day help, team dinners, soccer training and community involvement.
During the spring semester, the Beavers and KITS will have the opportunity to write to each other as pen pals.
“KITS Club is a program where relationships are formed and young girls have a great experience connecting with a Beaver on the Bluffton women’s soccer team,” said Rhonda Smith, coach.
The fee for new members is $50 which includes a KITS shirt. The cost for returning members is $40 if the participant is using last year’s shirt.
The registration deadline is Tuesday, Aug. 15, and spots are limited. All proceeds support the women’s soccer program. Register online at www.bluffton.edu/athletics/womenssoccer/
