Five star-rating for Mennonite Memorial Home
Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, has been awarded an overall 5-Star Quality Rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), according to Laura Voth, CEO of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio.
The Five-Star Quality Rating System helps consumers, their families and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and help identify topics of questions to ask during the selection process.
CMS provides quality ratings to each of the nation's Medicare and/or Medicaid-certified nursing homes.
Each facility is rated from a low 1-Star to the highest 5-Stars and also separate individual scores based on three critical areas: health inspection results, quality measures and staffing levels.
CMS reports that nursing homes with 5 stars are considered to have much above average quality and nursing homes with 1 star are considered to have quality much below average.
CMS recommends consumers use the 5 Star Quality Rating System in conjunction with an onsite visit to facilities. To obtain information on Nursing Home Compare Five-Star Quality Rating System click here.
