Not just any kid - and not just any vehicle

Owen Weaver is not just any kid, and the 2017 Cheverlot Express is not just any vehicle.
Owen is Bluffton's small-town hero. The car is especially designed with a lift to take him to events and doctor appointments.

The vehicle was unveiled on Thursday and Owen and his family were there to thank all the local contributors to the project.
Greg's Pharmacy put the party together - it was held in the parking lot behind their store. A GoFundMe drive generated funds for the Weaver family to purchase the new van.
Angie Halcomb, Greg’s Pharmacy manager, one of the local promoters of the fund drive said, “We want to let everyone know that our small town hero reached the go-fund-me goal and got his van!”
The van is a 2017 Cheverolet Express from Lima Auto Mall with the lift feature needed for Owen. The lift was installed by MC Mobility, Dayton.
“We wanted to have an unveiling of the van so that the community can share in the family's joy,” Halcomb said. “This way everyone can see the fruits from this labor of love.”
Owen's parents are Chad and Melissa Weaver. Owen has three brothers, Carson, 11, Aiden, 8, and Gavin, 5. Owen will be 10 in a few weeks.
