The three-day Main Street Across America Lincoln Highway Buy-Way Yard Sale began Thursday morning.
A yard sale information booth is on Ada's Main Street in front of the depot park. The booth has a map of sales in and about Ada and a map of towns participating from Indiana, through Ohio, to Pennsylvania.
The info booth also has Ada Sesquicentennial items for sale that were leftover fro the village's 150th celebration in 2003.
There are specially stamped Wilson NFL footballs for $50. Other items, at a much lower cost, include yardsticks, mugs, and pins and history book.
The table will be manned from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday.
How does Ada qualify for the annual Lincoln Highway (Route 30) yard sale? In 1913 U.S. Route 30 went down Main Street in Ada. That designation didn't last long, but long enough for Ada to qualify for the statewide sale more than a century later. Happy shopping!
