Jon Sprague gives presentation at University of Findlay
Jon E. Sprague, R.Ph., Ph.D., director and BCI Eminent Scholar at the Ohio Attorney General’s Center for the Future of Forensic Science at Bowling Green State University, and a leading authority on Ecstasy research, will be speaking at the University of Findlay from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30 in the Davis Street Building, Room 2225.
Sprague’s presentation, “The Neurobiology of Substance-Use Disorders,” will be part of the fall semester pharmacy course, free for all campus and community members, titled “Combating Chemical Dependence: A Community Effort.” The course, with weekly classes, is offered as an elective for credit and to members of the community at no charge.
According to Michael Milks, Ph.D., professor of pharmaceutical sciences at UF who is overseeing the course, Sprague’s lectures are intellectually accessible, compelling and important to academics, healthcare professionals and concerned citizens alike.
Sprague was previously Ohio Northern University’s Dean of the Raabe College of Pharmacy. He has received numerous teaching and research awards, and has published with several UF faculty and associates.
