14 organizations share in $7,400 Legion golf outing proceeds
Bluffton American Legion Post 382 distributed $7,400 from proceeds of its 8th annual charitable golf scramble to 14 organizations earlier this week.
Recipients were:
• Allen County Abilities Baseball League
• Allen County Veterans Food Pantry/Blue Star Mothers
• American Legion Operation Comfort Warriors
• Bluffton American Legion Post Oratorical Candidate
• Bluffton Diamond Sports
• Bluffton Family Recreation
• Bluffton Community Assistance Program’s food pantry
• Bluffton Boy Scout Troop 256
• Bluffton Girl Scouts
• Challenged Champions Equestrian Center (Ottawa)
• Honor Flight of Findlay
• Ohio American Legion Scholarship Fund
• Ohio Department “Gifts for Yanks” program
• Urbana/Champaign Aviation Museum
The donations were made possible from golf participants and sponsors of the event, according to Sam Reineke and Fred Arnold, chair of the outing. Fred Rodabaugh, post commander, and Dennis Morrison, post publicity chair, presented checks.
