Music education major to perform senior recital Sept. 10
Music education major Samuel Black, of Deshler, Ohio, will present his Bluffton University senior recital at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, in Yoder Recital Hall. The recital is free and open to the public; a reception will follow in the lobby.
Black’s program features several pieces for tuba. These include: “Six Studies in English Folk Song “ by Ralph Vaugnahn Williams, “Ave Maria” by Franz Schubert, “Concerto for Tuba” Bruce Broughton, “New England Reveries” by Neal Corwell, “Elegie, Op3, No1” by Sergei Rachmaninov and “Concerto in One Movement” by Alexey Lebedev.
The recital is presented in partial fulfillment of his requirements for graduation with a major in music education.
