September 13, 2017
NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team dropped a 6-0 decision at Muskingum University on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017. Muskingum improved to 1-4-1, while Bluffton slipped to 0-5 on the season.
Three late first half goals in a span of seven minutes right before the break were too much to overcome as the home team piled up a 31-8 edge in shots, including 16-3 over the first 45 minutes.
Muskingum forced three more corner kicks (7-4) and the home team was also whistled for eight more fouls (12-4). Zach Ellison (Millbury/Lake) fired four shots, three on frame, while fellow freshman Connor Kaminicki (Northfield/Nordonia) picked up four saves for the visitors.
Bluffton is back at the Sears Complex in game two of a women's and men's doubleheader with Baldwin Wallace on Saturday, Sept. 16. The men are slated for a 3:30 p.m. start.
