Meet the Bluffton University homecoming court
Seniors Greg Koviak of Clyde, and Lauren Dickerson of Goshen, Ind., were crowned Bluffton University’s Homecoming king and queen at halftime of the annual Homecoming football game on Oct. 7.
Other seniors on the Homecoming court were Bryce Butler of Bucyrus, and Erika Byler of Shipshewana Ind. Junior attendants were Thomas Wagler of Bloomdale, and Jena O’Brien of Toledo, while sophomore attendants were LaJohn Beasley of Columbus, and Leslie Beasley of Columbus.
Greg Koviak
Koviak is a social work major with a minor in youth ministries. He is a ministry assistant in Ropp Hall, is a member of SERVE and takes part in various music ensembles on campus. He is also a stuntman for the cheerleading team and works as part of the janitorial cleaning crew.
Lauren Dickerson
Dickerson is majoring in social work with minors in Spanish and psychology. She is a pastoral assistant on campus as well as a student coach for the volleyball team and the student manager of the social sciences department. She is also a member of the social sciences club.
Bryce Butler
Butler is a mathematics major with an adolescent/young adult teaching concentration. He works as a Marbeck and Sommer Center assistant.
Erika Byler
Byler is majoring in communications with a minor in theatre. She is the vice president of the gaming club and works as a theatre assistant. She is a part of Camerata Singers and University Chorale.
Thomas Wagler
Wagler is a biology major with a chemistry minor who works as a ministry assistant in Neufeld Hall. He is a supervisor for the fitness center and is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). He is also a student ambassador and a kit guide for the university.
Jena O’Brien
O’Brien is a public relations major who works as a resident advisor in Hirschy Annex. She is a student ambassador and is a member of The Witmarsum, C. Henry Smith Scholars and Riley Creek Festival committee. She is also a student assistant for Bluffton University’s public relations department.
LaJohn Beasley
LaJohn Beasley is a business major who works as a resident advisor in Ramseyer Hall. He is a student ambassador, kit guide and a stuntman for the cheerleading team. He is also a member or Student Senate along with being a member of the multicultural student organization.
Leslie Beasley
Leslie Beasley is majoring in social work with a minor in special education. She works as a resident advisor in Neufeld Hall. She is a student ambassador and kit guide as well as a mentor for the learning resource center (LRC) and Becoming a Scholar class. She is also part of the Multicultural Student Organization.
