Men's Soccer drops 4-1 decision to Hanover

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to Hanover College on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017. Bluffton slipped to 1-12 overall and 1-4 in the Heartland Conference, while Hanover improved to 9-4 and 4-1 in the HCAC.
Already leading 1-0, the visiting Panthers knocked in two goals late in the first half for a 3-0 lead at the break. Alex Foster (Howard/Mount Vernon) netted his first collegiate score less than two minutes into the second half, but Hanover had the answer just over two minutes later as the Panthers capped off a 4-1 victory over the home team.
Hanover finished with a 17-5 edge in shots, including 9-3 on frame. The Panthers finished with seven of the 10 corner kicks, while Bluffton was whistled for five more fouls (10-5). Foster finished with two shots as Levi Smith (Bluffton) fended off five Hanover attempts.
The Beavers head to Anderson University on Wednesday, Oct. 18, for a 3:30 p.m. meeting with the Ravens.
