Anderson dumps Women's Soccer 4-0

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Anderson University Ravens struck twice in the 14 minutes and never looked back on the way to a 4-0 victory over the Bluffton University women's soccer team on a beautiful Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017. Bluffton fell to 2-12 overall and 1-5 in the Heartland Conference, while Anderson upped its mark to 9-2-2 and 4-1-1 in the HCAC.
AU used an 11-3 edge in first half shots to take a commanding 3-0 lead at the break. The visitors tacked on another score early in period two for the 4-0 final.
Senior Brittany Huff (Union/Northmont) and junior Skylar Liming (St. Marys/Memorial) combined for seven shots against the Ravens. Freshman keeper Jules Frazier (Nova/Mapleton) notched six saves in the second half.
Anderson finished with a 22-9 edge in shots, including 13-4 on frame. The home team forced two more corner kicks (5-3), while the Ravens were whistled for 11 more fouls (15-4).
The Beavers will be back at home this Saturday, Oct. 21, for Senior Day when Bluffton welcomes Rose-Hulman for a 1 p.m. matchup. Come out and support your Beavers!
