Lions eye screen 230 area youth
Bluffton Lions Ed Yeager (pictured), Tom Edwards, Elaine Harris, Arliss Plaugher and Barbara Plaugher along with Don Hostetler’s wife, Joyce, helped to examine children at the beginning of the school year in several area schools.
Students examined were at Bluffton Elementary, Allen East Elementary, Hilty Home Day Care, Bluffton Pre-School and the County Line Day Care facility in Bluffton.
A total of 230 children were screened with 17 children failing the screening test. Failed screens are referred to parents for follow-up with their local eye doctor.
The Lions have several additional announcements and those are found in this month's newsletter, attached to this story.
