Bridge offering holiday memories workshop through Group S.T.A.R.
Bridge Bereavement Service’s Group S.T.A.R. (Special Times Always Remembered) will be offering a Holiday Memories program for bereaved children ages 6 through 12.
The program allows children to come together with their peers and participate in activities that will help them express their feelings, create lasting memories of their loved one and have fun at the same time.
The Holiday Memories program will be offered Thursday, Nov. 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Blanchard Valley Hospital, 1900 S. Main St. in Findlay.
Dinner will be provided for the children. Family members are encouraged to return at 7:15 p.m. to participate in a closing ceremony.
“The loss of a loved one can be difficult for children as they attempt to make sense of the loss and deal with the changes it creates,” said Niki Sidle, bereavement coordinator. “Participating in holidays and special events can often intensify their feelings of loss and grief. This program can help them express these feelings with their peers.”
RSVP for the Holiday Memories program is required prior to Friday, November 10 and can be made by calling 419.423.5351 or emailing [email protected].
Bridge Home Health & Hospice is a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, which provides a total continuum of care to more than 100,000 households in an eight-county area.
