Men's Soccer drops home finale to Manchester 5-0

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team dropped its 2017 home finale to Manchester University 5-0 on a cold and windy Wednesday, Oct. 25. Manchester improved to 9-8 overall and 5-3 in the Heartland Conference, while Bluffton stands 1-15 and 1-7 in the HCAC.
Manchester took a 2-0 lead at the break and added three second half tallies, including two in the final three minutes, for a 5-0 shutout at the Sears Complex.
The Spartans piled up a 26-3 advantage in shots, including 12-1 on frame. Manchester finished with two more fouls (10-8), while forcing all seven corner kicks.
Bluffton will cap off its season with a trip to Lexington, Ky., for a 3:30 p.m. matchup with Transylvania on Saturday, Oct. 28.
