Henrietta Schumacher was a Pandora High School graduate
Henrietta M. Schumacher, 94, died on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. Henrietta was born Dec. 14, 1922, in Putnam County to the late Orlin and Kathryn (Garber) Schumacher.
Henrietta was a graduate of Pandora High School. She worked her adult life on the home farm and for many years at Triplett Corporation in Bluffton. Henrietta was a former member of Grace Mennonite Church and Pandora Missionary Church both in Pandora.
Survivors include a sister, Genevieve Korte of Vandalia, Ohio; nieces, Maria Korte of Pandora, Sister Mary Catherine, aka Betty Korte of St. Joseph the Worker Convent in Walton Kentucky; Esther (Dave) Judson of Fairborn, Ohio, Janet Hill of Vandalia, Ohio, Carol Bowman of Gastonia, North Carolina, Susan Carter of Grapevine, Texas; and nephews, Robert Korte and James (Cindy) Korte both of Vandalia, Ohio.
Henrietta was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella Schumacher; and a nephew, Edward Korte.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, 239 S. Main Street in Bluffton. Chaplain Rick Hart officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora following the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hilty Memorial Home.
