Dr. Cheri Diller is Bluffton's newest general practitioner
Pandora native Dr. Cheri Diller, M.D., general practitioner, has joined Bluffton Primary Care and is the newest physician in the community.
Bluffton Primary Care is located at 161 Garau St., in the former offices of Dr. Woodruff.
She joins Dr. Leah Eiden, M.D., who also has a practice in the building. Bluffton Primary Care, part of Blanchard Valley Medical Practices, opened earlier this fall after a building renovation and held its official ribbon cutting on Dec. 4.
In opening her family practice, Dr. Diller is accepting new patients.
Dr. Diller was born in Bluffton Hospital, and growing up was a patient of Dr. Oliver Lugibihl of Pandora.
Her medical career started upon graduation from Pandora-Gilboa High School. She graduated from nurse’s training in Ft. Wayne and then enrolled at the Medical College of Ohio at the University of Toledo.
For several years she was in private practice in Sylvania and later worked with Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
“It great to return to my home community to practice,” she said. “There are many familiar names and people here who I have lots in common with.”
“I am seeing all ages of patients from newborns to seniors and both men and women,” she said.
Describing her bedside manner, she said that she learned early on in her medical career that she doesn’t have to be formal to be a medical professional, adding, “I encourage my patients to asks questions.”
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Diller to the Bluffton Primary Care staff.” said Chris Keller, president of Bluffton Hospital.
“Through experienced family practice providers of Dr. Diller and Dr. Eiden, we are expanding our services to the community,” explained Kelly Shroll, president of Blanchard Valley Medical Practices. “Bluffton Primary Care offers evening hours for convenience to our patients. The expansion of primary care in Bluffton will support patient’s health care needs from prevention and wellness to acute care.”
