Ryan Golden, a senior from Findlay, is Bluffton University’s sixth recipient of a full scholarship to Bowling Green State University’s master of accountancy program.

Golden has earned the Beaver-Falcon MAcc Scholarship, a Bluffton-Bowling Green partnership that includes a full-tuition award plus a paid graduate assistantship for a Bluffton accounting graduate.
 
“I was very honored and excited when I found out I was chosen for the Beaver-Falcon Scholarship,” said Golden. “It is an amazing opportunity, and I can't wait to see what it will have in store for me. I feel like I will be very prepared stepping onto Bowling Green's campus because of the education I have received at Bluffton. The attention to detail from the professors and their willingness to help has allowed me to develop a very strong foundation. I look forward to representing Bluffton in the work that I do there.”
 
A 2014 graduate of Findlay High School, Golden is majoring in both accounting and business administration at Bluffton.

Golden is a member of the baseball team where he has earned academic all-conference honors the past two years. Last year, Golden also performed as J. Denny Beaver, Bluffton University’s mascot, and was a resident advisor and student worker in the Learning Resource Center.  
 
Beginning in fall 2018, Golden plans to pursue the accounting track of study at Bowling Green. Completion of the master’s program will give him the 150 hours of study required to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam.
 
“From the moment Ryan stepped foot on our campus, he had his sights set on earning his CPA and attending BGSU. He has worked hard to achieve his goal and is well-deserving of this scholarship. Ryan excels in and out of the classroom and will be an excellent representative of Bluffton University in the BGSU program,” said Dr. Jason Swartzlander, associate professor of accounting.
