Why does a White Christmas and freezing temperatures go together?
Yes, it was and still is a White Christmas.
According to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer, the area had 3.2 inches of snow on Dec. 23. Add to that 2.3 inches on Christmas eve, for 5.5 inches.
The temperatures hovered between 35 and 20 degrees on those two days, but on Christmas the freezer door opened and the high was 20 degrees and the low was 8.
