Sheerer named HCAC Player of the Week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Senior Macey Sheerer (Bucyrus) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week for her work over the holidays. She led the Beavers to a 2-1 mark, including wins at John Carroll and over Alma before a slim loss to #4 Hope College in the McDonald's Tournament.
Sheerer hit 16-of-41 (47.1 percent) from the field while averaging 17.0 PPG and 8.7 RPG. She went 4-of-10 from
deep and 15-of-19 (78.9 percent) at the stripe. Sheerer added eight assists and four steals for the Beavers.
The talented guard is up to #2 on the all-time scoring list at 1,234 points, just seven counters behind all-time leader Tanya Rickenberg (1,241). She is also #5 all-time with 639 career rebounds. Sheerer is the leading scorer in the Heartland Conference at 17.4 PPG and her 7.1 RPG are 7th in the conference.
Bluffton is back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 3, when the Beavers welcome Mount St. Joseph at 7:30 p.m. in the Sommer Center.
