Elisabeth Collins, 33, funeral service on Saturday
Elisabeth Collins, 33, of Bluffton, Ohio, died on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, following a 15-week illness.
Elisabeth was born on Sept. 26, 1984, in Bluffton to Daryl and Michelle (Shank) Thompson and they survive in Rawson.
She married Joshua Collins on Aug. 13, 2011, and he survives in Bluffton along with their son Riley Collins.
Also surviving is a brother Gabriel (Rachel) Thompson of Rawson, as well as maternal grandparents, Doyle and Phyllis Shank of Rawson and paternal grandparents, Donald E. and Wilma Thompson of Bluffton, and four nephews Jacob, Jared, Ethan and Jackson Thompson.
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Schmehl, who died on Dec. 17, 2009, and by Amanda Kathleen, who died on Oct. 26, 1985.
Elisabeth was a homemaker. She was a member of True Word Tabernacle Church in Bluffton. Visitation will be held at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, Findlay, from 11 a.m - 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. following the visitation with Brother Ray Erickson and Rev. Wayne Lawson officiating. Burial will be private in Tawa Cemetery beside her sister, Audrey.
