Brad Fruchey elected school board president for 2018
Brad Fruchey will serve as president of the Bluffton school board in 2018. The board elected him during its reorganization meeting on Jan. 8. Also elected, as board vice president, was Wesley Klinger.
In addition to Fruchey and Klinger, board members are Ken Lugibihl, Brad Scoles and Renee Smith.
Several board appointments were made during the meeting. Those follow:
• Klinger - delegate to 2018 Ohio School Board Conference
• Fruchey – alternate delegate
• Klinger – legislative liaison to Ohio School Board Association
• Scoles – Student achievement liaison
• Fruchey and Scoles – board representatives to athletic council
• Lugibihl – board representative to Diesel-Tingley Scholarship Committee, and
Charles Hankish, Sr., and Sophia Hankish Scholarship Committee
• Lugibihl and Smith – board representatives to Building and Grounds Committee

(Each is a Monday except July, which is a Thursday. All board meetings start at 7:30 p.m. and take place in the elementary school Media Center)
