The most labor-intensive time spent by Bluffton village employees during 2017 involved street work, according to an hours worked by department summary provided to Bluffton council on Monday.
The chart (attached at the bottom of this story) reveals actually hours spent in hours and percentage of total workload.
Major areas:
1 – Streets – 1,997 hours (32%)
2 – Water – 1,698 hours (27%)
3 – Sewer – 1,016 hours (16%)
4 – Parks – 524 hours (8%)
Overtime hours worked included approximately 49 hours attending to water issues; 43 hours, street issues; and 30 hours, sewer issues.
In 2017, the most labor-intensive category worked by the month concerned water issues. Heavy months were April (235 hours), and October (237 hours).
