Blanchard River Watershed Partnership rain barrel contest
The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership is sponsoring a Rain Barrel Decorating Contest at the Findlay Village Mall during the Car Show held Feb. 16-18, according to Phil Martin, watershed coordinator.
Twenty-three rain barrels have been entered in this year’s contest. All rain barrels will be on display at the mall on Friday-Sunday, Feb 16-18.
The public can vote for your favorite rain barrel starting at 5 p.m. on Friday. Voting continues on Saturday.
The three categories this year are:
• Agricultural Theme
• Watershed Theme
• General Theme.
Winners will be announced Sunday, Feb. 18, at p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top five in each category and the People’s Choice Award.
You may sponsor a barrel by calling Martin at 419-422-6487. All unsponsored barrels will be for sale by silent auction during the Home Show.

Liberty Benton
Leipsic
McComb
Miller City
Riverdale
The BRWP represents the six counties of the Blanchard River Watershed and is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving water quality through developing citizen involvement and watershed action plans. Volunteers are welcome to join activities at any time.
