Harners among speakers at bike-pedestrian task force meeting
The Allen County Bike and Pedestrian Task Force will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 7, to discuss personal and community safety for people on foot or on bikes.
The meeting is from noon to 1 p.m., in the Lima YMCA Room 306, 345 S. Elizabeth St., Lima.
Lima and Allen County are ranked No. 1 for the highest rate of bicycle crashes and pedestrians hit by a vehicle, among areas in Ohio of similar size.
Guest speakers include Kent Fultz of Crankers Bike Shop in Lima, and Raymond and Liz Harner of Bike Crazy, Bluffton. A

The mission of the Allen County Bike and Pedestrian Task Force is to increase walking and biking opportunities in Allen County, along with making the County more bike and pedestrian friendly. The Task Force meets quarterly to educate and promote local laws, safety and ordinances along with community events that support infrastructure and develop a vibrant community. Community members are invited to attend.
