February 5, 2018
ADA, Ohio - The Beaver track and field team competed in the Joe Banks Invitational at neighboring Ohio Northern University on Saturday, Feb. 3. Despite several key distance runners being on a train-through weekend, quality performances were produced nonetheless.

Both short relays saw improved times as well which also qualified them for All-Ohio. The men's 4 x 200 relay was contested by the freshman trio of Ryan Coleman (Notre Dame College/Madison), Omar Warlick (East Pointe, Mich./Clintondale) and Keenan Kinnel (Troy) as well as junior Quincy Salcido (Van Wert). The 4 x 400 personnel consisted of Gulick, Knezovich, Warlick and Kinnel. In distance events, sophomore Arie Cox (Ontario) ran a lifetime best over 5000 meters with freshman Kimmie Hetrick (Fremont/Ross) in close pursuit throughout the race in her debut effort.
