Infant swimmer classes starting
Maple Crest Senior Living Village is providing its indoor pool to Infant Swimming Resource (ISR), a program for children six months to six years old to learn Self-Rescue skills.
Certified instructor Annette Lazenby, along with her ISR partner Kym Cragel, will be teaching ISR lessons beginning April 9.
Lazenby became a certified ISR instructor in 2017 after completing an intensive training program that included hands-on training with an ISR master instructor.
To find out more, visit the ISR website at www.GR8LakesSwimBabies.com
According to Lazenby, Infant Swimming Resource is the number one drowning prevention program and adds an additional layer of protection for children in and around water through techniques designed to help them survive if they reach the water alone. She adds that ISR lessons give children the competence and confidence needed during an aquatic event.
Lessons will be held at Maple Crest, 700 Maple Crest Court, Bluffton, and scheduled from 3-6 p.m., Monday through Friday starting April 9.
To register, contact Lazenby at [email protected]. You can also visit GR8 Lakes Swim Babies on Facebook to view recent graduates performing Self-Rescue skills.
