Start thinking about downtown potted plants
Orders are now being placed for this summer’s downtown flowerpots.
According to Susie and Steve Stratton of Stratton Greenhouses, “This is our 12th year for providing the potted plants on Main Street.”

To make this happen Strattons invite contributions to keep the program going. This year the sponsorships are $130 per pot. If payments are received by Saturday, March 24, the cost is $120 per pot.
The 24-inch flowering pots are placed along Main Street from the Bluffton Public Library to Jefferson Street.
For the fourth year lamppost hayracks are also available, which is a $325 sponsorship.
“Sponsorships cover the cost of dirt, plants and fertilizers. Stratton Greenhouses has covered the cost of labor for watering the planters,” said Susie.
“We could not do this without the tremendous support of our community,” she said.
New to the flowerpot program is that this year sponsorship signs will be professionally printed.
Contributions may be used as a:

All contributions will be used for the replacing, planting and maintaining the planters.
For the second year, Bluffton will participate in the national awards program, America in Bloom.
It provides an opportunity for the community to showcase cultural heritage, environmental efforts, parks and urban forestry, as well as floral displays and landscape design. The downtown flowers are part of the overall community effort in America in Bloom.
