Makin named HCAC Field Athlete of the Week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Gabe Makin (Elida) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week following his pole vault victory in Virginia over the weekend.
Makin won the pole vault at the Washington and Lee Carnival on Saturday. The freshman cleared 4.70 meters which currently ranks second in NCAA Division III. Makin opened his outdoor campaign much like he finished the indoor portion of the season when he bested the competition (15-7) with a Heartland Conference championship at Anderson on February 18!
The Bluffton University track and field team will be back in action at Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday, March 24.
