Alyssa Casemier's art piece in Governor's Show
An artwork by Alyssa Casemier, Bluffton High School artist, was recently accepted for exhibit in the Ohio Governor’s Art Show in Columbus, according to Vickie Garmon, BHS art teacher.
To advance that far, the piece was first judged the district level and then advanced for consideration to be judged again at the state level.
Alyssa had two of her works advance from the district judging. The second piece was not accepted for the Governor’s show.
And, six other Bluffton High School art students had one work each advance through district judging for judging at the state level. While none of those works were accepted to the Governor’s show, the number of Bluffton art pieces making it into the final judging round is impressive.
In addition to Alyssa, the following art students had works advance to be judged at the state level:
• Sophia Smucker
• Danielle Novak
• Jason Althaus
• Annalise Nisly
• Kaitlyn Burkholder
• Kaitlyn Clymer
