Phyllis L. Adkins-Osborne was a home economics teacher at BHS

Phyllis L. Adkins-Osborne, 84, died March 26, 2018, at Willow Ridge - Frieda House in Bluffton. Phyllis was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late Solon and Minnie (Adkins) Reynolds who preceded her in death. She was married to Frank Osborne who preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 2008.

Phyllis received her bachelor's degree from Marshall University.  She was a home economics teacher at Bluffton High School for many years.  Phyllis was a member of Grace Mennonite Church in Pandora and enjoyed very much her home state of West Virginia. 

Survivors include two sons, Bryan (Becky) Adkins of Lenox Township, Michigan, Gregory (Susan) Adkins of Hebron, Kentucky; two step sons, Tom (Cindy) Osborne of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Mike (Donna) Osborne of St. Joe, Michigan; a step daughter, Kathy (Rodger) Benroth of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and 13 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Matthew Yoder and William Herr officiating. 

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton following the service.  Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m. - 8 pm. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Brighter Lives Campaign at Mennonite Memorial Home.
